This is the raw video footage of the tragic killing of Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who had fled the war in Ukraine to seek safety in the United States.



In August 2024, Iryna was riding the light rail in Charlotte when she was unexpectedly attacked and stabbed in an unprovoked assault by a Black male.



She was critically injured during the attack on board the train and was pronounced dead shortly after emergency medical services arrived, succumbing to her severe knife wounds before she could be stabilized or successfully transported for life-saving surgery.
