This is from the South African Broadcasting Corporation in 2004. Hillbrow used to be a White suburb in the 60s and 70s. It was known for it's great night life. This is what it turned into when Blacks took it over. Notice all the damage. People sometimes even died in the street because Blacks would throw heavy objects or furniture from their apartment balconies. Look at the mess on the streets below.
